Over the past couple of months I’ve had the pleasure of spending time with Lentil Bean, a courageous French bulldog puppy who was born with severe cleft palettes and nose. He was the only survivor out of a litter of 4, all with the same facial deformations. His foster mom, Lindsay Condefer, build a web and facebook page in order to raise money for his necessary surgeries in order to live a full and complete life. Through Lindsay’s tireless efforts and round the clock tube feedings the support has been phenomenal, with a fan base reaching almost 70,000 followers worldwide.
Through him, support and awareness has reached and benefited not only him but Lindsay’s own rescue here in Philly, Street Tails Animal Rescue, as well as the French Bulldog Rescue Network. And now Lentil is even able to help his two legged friends with donations going towards the Children’s Craniofacial Association. I am honored that my art can help benefit not only dogs, but humans worldwide. Typically only shooting fashion and music, my time with Lentil has given me a refreshing change to witness the kind hearts of people giving their time, money, and dedication to humanity. It has allowed me a chance to give something to the world simply by putting a smile on people’s faces.
On Mothers Day this year, FBRN announced the acceptance of Lindsay’s application to adopt Lentil as her own.
